A spoiled playboy from one of Mexico's wealthiest families falls overboard off his yacht. He's then convinced by a single, working-class mom that he's her husband. Gender-swapped remake of the 1987 film.
Not as good as the original, but not horrible
Definitely not as good as the original, but it wasn’t totally horrible. I found it was a “eh” remake, but there were laughable moments.

A lot of funny parts
This is a very good remake of Goldie and Kurt's classic movie, and a quintessential romcom for you chicks, like me, who like chick flicks.
Why would you remake a classic and make this abomination.
In truth, this movie was really bad

This movie was really good I love it 👍
The ship sunk.
Complete crap. I did not laugh once throughout this entire movie.
Great lighthearted, feel-good comedy!
It’s a lighthearted, feel-good comedy, and you’ll definitely be satisfied if you go into this with those expectations. I actually preferred it to the 80’s version, because, it may be a double standard, but a man with the amnesia just seemed less gross than a man spiriting away a woman with amnesia. I actually loved the Latin influence and the play off the telenovelas—the Hispanic actors were hilarious! It’s playful and it’s a great movie to watch if you want to decompress and laugh.
