I don’t even like horror movies, but I loved this!!
  • Almost there

A film that was fresh, new, thrilling, but just shy of being a home run. Some emotional scenes meant to pull a tear from my eye, fell a little flat for me because I wasn’t as invested as the movie had wanted me to be in the characters. This is still a must see, but my heart strings were not tuned to the right key of this film.
  • Not for the lefty’s.

While most movies out of Hollywood are obsessed with social engineering and overflowing with leftist ideology, Jim Halperts 5 star instant classic of a film blasts that self absorbed bubble point blank.
  • No Thanks, Suspense And Horror.

I’ve never seen any horror movies, not even this. A Quiet Place. So, I’m definitely going to pass on this one. It scares me to death. Sorry!!!! Not interested.
  • Overrated. Good but too many plot holes

I had high hopes after hearing the buzz about this. I convinced it was riding on the coattails of Get Out, which is outstanding. (Spoilers) The premise starts as ridiculous, wherein creatures with hypersensitive hearing have reduced humanity to silent retreat, is silly, given that sonic weapons we could have used against them have existed for years. Also, how does the family have electricity? Those huge plot holes aside, let's talk about the father, who comes across as doing everything he can to keep his family safe, and he's usually doing just the opposite, jeopardizing their safety with one bad decision after another. Leaving his wife alone at home, letting his deaf daughter walk without a guardian - she doesn't know how much noise she's making - just didn't make sense. This movie also stole freely from too many other horror and sci-fi movies to count. After giving it the Mystery Science Theater treatment the whole way through, we ended up being angry at it for getting such high critical marks when it's so poorly written.

Today’s horror movies are so “in your face” gory over the top etc. it’s more the shock value than anything. The quiet place was different. it was really nice to watch a well thought out, well written movie , with great acting and casting that truly had you feeling the suspense, horror and dramatic aspects. Honestly I loved it!
